Automatic Transaxle
P0883 Battery Voltage High - Inspection/Repair:_:Troubleshooting Procedure
1. IG Power Inspection
1. Engine "OFF" IG KEY "ON".
2. Remove the TCU.
3. Measure the voltage between terminal of "IG power" and chassis ground.
A. Specification : Battery voltage (Approx. 10 - 14V)
4. Is "VOLTAGE " within specification ?
YES
1) Go to"IG Ground Inspection" procedure.
NO
1) Repair "Fuse and Battery and relation part" as necessary and Go to "Verification Vehicle Repair" procedure.
IG Ground Inspection
1. Engine "OFF" IG KEY "ON".
2. Remove the TCU.
3. Perform the continuity test between "IG power" terminal and chassis ground.
A. Specification : Not continuity
4. Is resistance within specifications?
YES
1) Go to "Battery power Inspection" procedure.
NO
1) Repair "Fuse and Battery and relation part" as necessary and Go to "Verification Vehicle Repair" procedure.
2. Battery Power Inspection
1. Engine "OFF" IG KEY "ON".
2. Remove the TCU.
3. Measure the voltage between Battery power(B+) terminal of wiring harness and ground terminal.
A. Specification : Battery voltage (Approx. 10 - 14V)
4. Is "VOLTAGE " within specification ?
YES
1) Go to "Battery ground inspection1" procedure.
NO
1) Repair "Fuse and Battery and relation part" as necessary and Go to "Verification Vehicle Repair" procedure.
Battery Ground Inspection 1
1. Engine "OFF" IG KEY "ON".
2. Remove the TCU.
3. Measure the voltage between Battery power(B+) terminal of wiring harness and chassis ground.
A. Specification : Battery voltage (Approx. 10 - 14V)
4. Is "VOLTAGE " within specification ?
YES
1) Go to "Battery ground inspection2" procedure.
NO
1) Repair "Fuse and Battery and relation part" as necessary and Go to "Verification Vehicle Repair" procedure.
Battery Ground Inspection2
1. Engine "OFF" IG KEY "ON".
2. Remove the TCU.
3. Perform the continuity test between "Ground" terminal of wiring harness side and chassis ground.
A. Specification : Continuity
4. Is resistance within specifications?
YES
1) Fault is intermittent caused by poor contact in the sensor's and/or TCM(PCM)'s connector or was repaired and TCM(PCM) memory was not cleared. Throughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration or damage.Repair or replace as necessary and go to "Verification Vehicle Repair" procedure
NO
1) Repair "Fuse and Battery and relation part" as necessary and Go to "Verification Vehicle Repair" procedure.
