* inside of windshield fogging up.
* blower jammed and blown fuse (ice accumulation in blower).

CORRECTION

Verify if the water is leaking though the plenum duct by utilizing the Service Procedure below and repair if necessary.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

1. Pour a minimum of two gallons of water onto the cowl top.

2. Unplug the electrical connection to the blower motor.

3. Disconnect air tube between the heater/evaporator housing and the fan blower motor.

4. Remove the three screws holding the blower motor.

5. Verify that the fresh/recirculate control is in the fresh mode (vacuum must be in the reservoir to change positions. If in doubt, start the engine briefly).

Caution:
Remove all jewelry, watches, or loose clothing prior to performing next step.

6. Reach up through the fan hole, past the fresh/recirculate blend door, to the lower lip on the plenum. Feel for the presence of any moisture present on the lower lip or on the foam surrounding the fresh/recirculate blend door.

7. If no moisture is present, reassemble the vehicle, because there is no leakage problem. If a slight amount of moisture is present, pour more water into the cowl top to verify that the moisture level increases in the plenum.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

1. If a leak is evident, seal the plenum duct by first applying a waterproof sealant (Locate Clear Silicone Adhesive Sealant P/N 66BR) to your finger and then applying d all around the chamber flange. Always wear rubber gloves when applying the sealant. Allow approximately 1 0 minutes for the sealant to set.

Caution:
Do not allow the sealant to come into contact with any of the interior trim.

2. Repeat steps # 1 & 2 in the Service Procedure to confirm the repair has been successful.

3. If the leak has been sealed, reassemble the blower motor assembly. Reconnect the blower motor wiring harness electrical connector. Reassemble the blower motor assembly cover. Verify that the blower motor assembly is operational.
