Throttle Valve Cable/Linkage: Adjustments

Fig. 6 Adjusting Throttle Control Cable:

1. Place carburetor throttle lever in curb idle position.
2. Raise throttle cable cover ``B'' upward, then loosen cable lower mounting bracket bolt, Fig. 6.
3. Move cable lower mounting bracket until clearance between nipple and top of cable cover ``A'' is .02-0.06 inch, then tighten cable lower mounting bracket bolt to 9 to 10.5 ft. lbs.
4. With throttle lever in wide open position, pull throttle cable upward to ensure cable has freedom of movement.
