System Description

DESCRIPTION
The vehicle speed sensor is a reed switch. The speed sensor is built into the speedometer and converts the transaxle gear revolutions into pulse signals, which are sent to the engine control module.

TROUBLESHOOTING HINTS
If there is an open or short circuit in the vehicle speed sensor signal circuit, the engine may stall when the vehicle is decelerated to stop.
