General Painting Instructions

GENERAL PAINTING INSTRUCTIONS FOR PRIMER COATED SPOILERS:

Both styles of spoilers are "PUR" (polyurethane) based products, therefore, it is important to refer to the paint manufacturers instructions and warnings for use of their products on PUR (polyurethane). The following information is being provided for general reference only. Always read the entire manufacturers label prior to painting.

Should there be pin holes visible on the primer coated spoiler, these can be patched with suitable putty.

SANDING:
Wet sand using 500 grit. If applying a base coat, finish wet sand with 600 grit or finer.

CLEANING:
Use Lacquer and Enamel Cleaner 3939 S to remove sanding sludge.

Note
If Lucite Base Color is the preferred topcoat, apply one coat of Velvaseal over URO Primer-Filler 1120 S to insure proper adhesion.
