Malfunction Indicator Lamp: Description and Operation

A on board diagnostic lamp comes on to notify the driver of the emission control items when an irregularity is detected. However, when an irregular signal returns to normal, the malfunction indicator lamp will go out. Immediately after the ignition switch is turn on, the malfunction indicator lamp is lit for 5 seconds to indicate that the malfunction indicator lamp operates normally.

- Heated oxygen sensor (HO2S)
- Mass air flow sensor (MAF Sensor)
- Throttle position sensor (TP Sensor)
- Engine coolant temperature sensor (ECT Sensor)
- Knock sensor (KS)
- Boost sensor (TC)
- Evaporative emission canister purge solenoid valve
- Idle speed control actuator (ISC Actuator)
- Injector
- Air-fuel control
- Engine Control Module (ECM)
