Removal

1. Drain engine coolant, then disconnect breather hose between air cleaner and rocker cover.
2. Remove air cleaner, rocker cover and crank angle sensor.
3. Using tool No. 09246-34000, or equivalent, depress valve and remove roller rocker arm.
4. Pull auto lash adjuster outward after bleeding from cylinder head.

5. Remove camshaft sprockets, camshaft bearing caps, camshafts, rocker arms and lash adjusters, Fig. 27.
6. Inspect components for damage and/or wear, replacing as necessary.
