Fuel Tank Vacuum Relief Valve (Fuel Cap)
Fuel Filler Cap Operation:
1. Wipe valve housing clean.
2. Draw air through the tank side of the cap.
3. The valve should click, allowing air to pass through it.
Replace fuel cap if it fails above tests.
NOTE: The fuel filler cap should vent internal pressure at or under 1.5 psi to maintain tank structural integrity. The cap is also required to allow outside air to enter when a vacuum exists in the fuel tank.
