Brake Shoe: Service and Repair

1. Raise and support vehicle, then remove wheel/tire assembly.

Exploded View Of Drum Brake Assembly:

2. Remove brake drum. If drum is difficult to remove, screw in bolts to pull drum out.
3. Remove end shoe springs, cylinder and hold-down spring.
4. Remove shoes and adjuster as an assembly.
