1996 ACCENT OXYGEN SENSOR LOCATION
DESCRIPTION:
All 1996 Accents are fitted with two oxygen sensors. The location of the oxygen sensors are different between Federal specification vehicles and California specification vehicles.
On the 1996 Federal specification Accent, the upstream oxygen sensor is located in the front exhaust pipe before the catalytic converter. The downstream sensor is located in the center exhaust pipe after the catalytic converter.
NOTE:
All 1996 Accent GT DOHC (California and Federal specifications) oxygen sensor locations are similar to the Federal SOHC vehicles.
On the 1996 California specification Accent, the upstream sensor is located in the exhaust manifold before the manifold catalytic converter (MCC). The downstream sensor is located in the front exhaust pipe after the MCC and before the catalytic converter.
