Without Scan Tool

INSPECTION PROCEDURE





[USING SCAN TOOL]
1. Turn OFF the ignition switch.
2. Connect the scan tool to the data link connector on the coin box.
3. Turn ON the ignition switch.
4. Use the scan tool to check the diagnostic trouble code.
5. Repair the faulty part from the diagnosis chart.
6. Erase the diagnostic trouble code.
- Follow the scan tool instructions.
7. Disconnect the scan tool.

[USING VOLTMETER)
1. Ignition switch ON (Do not start)
2. Connect the voltmeter to the data link connector (No.1 pin)
3. Ground the L-wire (No.15) in the data link connector.

EX: 0707 (TRANSAXLE RANGE SWITCH):

4. The output pattern shows on the voltmeter.
5. Read the output diagnostic trouble codes, then follow the remedy procedures according to the DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE DESCRIPTION.
6. Erase the diagnostic trouble code by disconnecting the negative battery cable.
