DESCRIPTION:

Some Sonata vehicles may experience brake pedal pulsation during light brake application if brake disc thickness variation exceeds specifications. A pulsating brake pedal condition does not affect the stopping distance of the vehicle.

If a road test has confirmed that the vehicle has this condition, the front brake discs and pads should be replaced.

SERVICE PROCEDURE:

1. Remove front brake discs and pads following the procedure outlined in the shop manual.

2. Discard brake discs, pads, and return springs.





3. Replace brake discs and pads using the parts information:





Note:
Replace the return springs every time the brake pads are replaced.
