Cylinder Head Bolt Torque and Sequence

CAUTION:
- Tighten cylinder head bolts in sequence shown in two or three stages.
- Refer to cylinder head replacement procedure for loosening instructions.

Cylinder Head Bolt Torque:
Cold Engine: 90-100 Nm (900-1,000 kg. cm, 65-72 ft. lbs.)
Hot Engine: 100-110 Nm (1,000-1,100 kg. cm, 72-80 ft. lbs.)

NOTE: Requires cylinder head bolt wrench, tool No. 09221-32001 or equivalent.

Camshaft Bearing Cap Tightening Sequence
Insert bearing cap No. 1 so that the notch on the end of the shaft faces in the direction shown in the illustration. Insert the mounting bolt.
