Oil Pan: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
Refer to the illustration when removing the oil pan.

INSTALLATION
1. Clean the gasket surfaces of the cylinder block and the oil pan.






2. Apply sealant into the groove of the oil pan flange as follows:
a. Make the first cut from the end of the nozzle furnished with the sealant approx. 4 mm.
b. After applying the sealant, install the oil pan within 15 minutes.
c. Do not allow the sealant into the range A shown in the illustration on the oil pan flange.
3. Install the oil pan and tighten the bolts in the sequence shown in the illustration to 5-7 Nm (50-70 kg. cm, 3.7-5.0 ft. lbs.).
