Oil Pump: Testing and Inspection

1. Visually check the parts of the oil pump case for cracks and damage.






2. Assemble the rotor on the oil pump and then check the clearance with a thickness gauge.
Standard value:
Body clearance, 0.100-0.181 mm (0.0039-0.0071 inch).
Side clearance, 0.040-0.095 mm (0.0016-0.0037 inch).
