DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES

DESCRIPTION

Transaxle Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) for the 1999 Sonata are available only in the following menus on the Scan Tool:

^ 2.5L V6 - "4-Speed Trans" menu

^ 2.4L - "Engine" menu

NOTE:
When servicing a 1999 Sonata for a driveability condition, check for DTCs in both "4-Speed Trans" and "Engine" menus. When canceling DTCs, it is necessary to cancel codes separately in both menus.
