DESCRIPTION:

The following procedure applies when replacing an alternator on 1999 2.4L Sonata vehicles produced prior to 12/14/98)

PROCEDURE:

If the vehicle meets the following criteria:

^ Vehicle produced on or before 12/14/98.





^ Vehicle does NOT have an ignition harness condenser installed at the camshaft position sensor mounting bolt. (See page 4 in TSB # 99-90-007)

Replace the alternator and install the radio interference field fix kit as outlined in TSB # 99-90-007.
