1999 SONATA AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE ONE-WAY CLUTCH ADDED

DESCRIPTION:

A One-way clutch has been added to the 1999 Sonata automatic transaxle beginning on 3/9/99 to further refine shift quality. The logic of the Transaxle Control Module (TCM) has also been changed to match the new transaxle.

THE NEW TCM LOGIC FOR FIRST GEAR IS:





The new TCM MUST only be installed on vehicles which are equipped with an automatic transaxle containing a one-way clutch.

NOTE:
The new TCM is NOT compatible with previous transaxles (without a one-way clutch).
