DESCRIPTION:
To improve a hard shift feeling when shifting into 1st or 2nd gear, a triple cone synchronizer assembly has been made available to replace the single and double cone synchronizer assemblies installed in the 1999 and 2000 Sonata manual transaxles.
NOTE:
The new triple cone synchronizer assembly has been released in production effective December 18, 2000. Therefore, this bulletin should not be applied to Sonata vehicles produced on or after this date.
This bulletin provides the service kit parts and assembly procedure for the triple cone synchronizer assembly.
