Brake Proportioning/Combination Valve: Description and Operation

PROPORTIONING VALVE
The proportioning valve distributes the proper fluid pressure to the front and rear wheel to obtain greater braking efficiency and prevents premature rear wheel lock-up and skid. You should not disassemble it because the performance of the valve is closely connected with mounting tension of the spring.
