Front Wheel Alignment

FRONT WHEEL ALIGNMENT
When using commercially available computerized four wheel alignment equipment (caster, camber, toe and turning angle) to inspect the front wheel alignment, position the wheels straight ahead and always confirm tires are inflated to the specified pressure. Prior to inspection, make sure that the front suspension and steering system are in normal operating condition.

TOE-IN
Toe-in (B-A or angle of) is adjusted by turning the tie rod turnbuckles. Toe-in on the left front wheel can be reduced by turning the tie rod toward the front of the car. Toe change is achieved by turning the tie rod for the right and left wheels by the same amount simultaneously as follows:

Standard value
Toe-in (B-A):.............................0 ± 3 mm (0 ± 0.12 inch)

NOTE: Toe-in adjustment should be made by fuming the right and left tie rods by the same amount.
When adjusting toe-in, loosen the outer bellows clip to prevent twisting the bellows.
After the adjustment, tighten the tie rod end lock nuts firmly and reinstall the bellows clip.

Tightening torque
Tie rod end lock nuts:............................50 - 55 Nm (500 - 550 kgf-cm, 36 - 40 ft. lbs.)

CAMBER
The steering knuckle which is integral with the strut assembly is pre-adjusted to the specified camber at the factory and requires no adjustment.

Standard value Front camber:.........................0° ± 30

CASTER
Caster is pre-set at the factory and can not be adjusted. If the caster measured is not within the standard value below, replace the bent or damaged parts.

Standard value
Front caster:............................1°48 ± 30

NOTE:

1. The front suspension assembly must be free of worn, loose or damaged parts prior to measuring front wheel alignment.
2. Measure wheel alignment by using the special tool (09529-21000).
3. Camber and caster are pre-set at the factory and cannot be adjusted.

4. If camber and caster are not within specifications, replace bent or damaged parts.
