Seat Belt: Service Precautions

PRECAUTIONS FOR MECHANICAL PRETENSIONER SEAT BELT HANDLING
1. Do not reuse the pretensioner seat belt. It is available only one.
2. Do not grab the webbing when carrying out the pretensioner seat belt. It can damage the parts as well as injury hands seriously by unexpected deployment.
3. Do not disassemble or repair the pretensioner seat belt.
4. After assembling the mounting bolt temporarily, insert the webbing over 500 mm to the retractor. (It can be deployed during installation).
5. After installation, when the webbing is drawn out over 2000 mm (from the low anchor plate center to the retractor center), a little impact can cause deployment.
6. Do not install the pretensioner at over 40 cm higher.
7. When handling more than one pretensioner, do not carry them by hand.

PRECAUTIONS FOR ELECTRICAL PRETENSIONER SEAT BELT HANDLING
1. Do not reuse the pretensioner seat belt. It is available just one time.
2. Do not grab the webbing when carrying out the pretensioner seat belt. It can damage the parts as well as injury hands seriously by unexpected deployment.
3. Do not disassemble or repair the pretensioner seat belt.
4. After securely installing the pretensioner, connect the battery.
5. Removal procedure for the pretensioner
- Check that the power is turned off and the ignition key is at "STOP".
- Disconnect the (-) negative battery terminal.
- Wait about one minute.
- After disconnecting the gas generator, loosen the mounting bolt and disconnect the pretensioner.

6. Installation is the reverse of removal.
