DESCRIPTION:





The knuckle assembly snap ring configuration has been changed effective with May 24, 2004 production to improve its serviceability.

SERVICEABILITY TIP:

It may be difficult to install and remove the new snap ring using snap ring pliers because of the small clearance between the snap ring lugs and the knuckle. The following two methods are suggested to install and remove the new snap ring:





1. Use a flathead screwdriver as shown.

CAUTION:

1. Wear safety eye protection glasses

2. Cover snap ring with a shop cloth.

2. Use external snap ring heavy duty pliers set, P/N: 4513, available from

SPX Corporation
