CRASH PADCrash Pad:
REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
2. Disconnect the wire connectors from the front seats and then remove the front seats.
CAUTION: Take care not to scratch the trim when removing the front seats.
3. Pry the front pillar trim loose with a flat-tip screwdriver.
4. Remove the air bag module.
CAUTION: For ins functions of the removal of the air bag module and clock spring, refer to Air Bag. Air Bag Systems
5. Remove the steering wheel.
6. Remove the screws holding the steering column lower shroud and then remove the steering column lower shroud.
7. Disconnect the wire connectors and remove the multifunction switch.
8. Remove the 2 screws holding the lower crash pad panel.
9. Remove the lower crash pad frame after removing the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.
10. Remove the screws holding the cluster facia panel.
11. Remove the cluster assembly after removing the 4 screws.
12. Remove the center crash pad side cover.
13. Pry the rear upper cover from the floor console with a flat-tip screwdriver.
14. Remove the front upper cover from the floor console after removing the 2 screws.
15. Remove the floor console mounting screws (2EA) and bolts (2EA).
16. Remove the floor console assembly after removing the 4 screws.
17. Pry the center facia panel loose with a flat-tip screwdriver and disconnect the wire connectors.
18. Remove the audio unit and the air conditioner.
19. Remove the glove box assembly.
20. Remove the crash pad center panel after removing the 6 screws.
21. Remove the bolts holding the main crash pad.
22. Disconnect the wire connectors and remove the main crash pad.
23. Remove the ventilator from the main crash pad.
24. Remove the side air vent nozzle from the main crash pad.
25. Remove the passenger side air bag from the main crash pad.
26. Installation is the reverse of removal.
Connect all wire connectors securely.
