Courtesy Lamp: Description and Operation
CIRCUIT DESCRIPTIONBattery voltage is applied at all times from fuse 28 to the room lamp, map lamps, and door lamps. Battery voltage is applied at all times from fuse 24 to the door ajar, trunk ajar warning indicators, and trunk lamp. When the appropriate switch (see schematic) is closed, a ground path is provided to the respective lamp, causing the lamp to go on.
The map lamps are not controlled by a door switch. They are turned on and off manually. The front room lamp can be controlled by the door switches or turned on manually, depending on the position of the front room lamp switch. The front room lamp can also be turned off so that it will not come on with the door opens.
