INSTALLER
This bulletin supersedes TSB 04-40-009 to change the seal installer part number
DESCRIPTION:
A new oil seal installer is available to install the differential oil seal with steel backing.
INSTALLATION:
1. Use the special tool, P/N 09431-21200 (available from SPX/Kent-Moore at 1-800-345-2233) or equivalent tool to install the oil seal. This tool fits the following vehicles:
^ 2001~Santa Fe
^ 2001~XG300/350
^ 1999~Sonata
^ 2005 Tucson
2. For the following models, modify the tool as shown or use an equivalent tool to install the seal.
^ 2001~Elantra
^ 2003~Tiburon
NOTE:
The modified tool can be used for all models listed in Step 1 and 2.
3. Install the oil seal using the seal installer and a hammer.
