Circuit Description
Circuit DescriptionThe immobilizer control system is an anti-theft device which enables the starting to be possible only when the mechanical and wireless secret codes, memorized in the Powertrain Control Module, and the Immobilizer Control Module(ICM) , are aligned simultaneously.
The transponder (built-in the ignition key) sends unique frequency secret code signals to the 1CM through Antenna coils.
The 1CM compares the received code signals with memorized code. When the codes are aligned, the 1CM sends signals to the PCM so that the starting is possible through fuel injection control. The immobilizer control module has a built-in self diagnostic feature.
