Turn Signals: Description and Operation
CIRCUIT DESCRIPTIONWith the hazard switch in OFF, and ignition switch in ON or START, battery voltage is applied from fuse 29 to the flasher unit. The solid-state flasher unit senses the turn signal lamp switch position and alternately applies and removes battery voltage to the turn signal lamps through the coil in the flasher unit controls. Battery voltage is applied to the turn signal lamps and indicators dependent up on the turn signal lamp switch position.
With the hazard switch depressed (ON) battery voltage is applied from fuse 7 to the flasher unit. The solid-state flasher unit senses that the hazard switch is in ON and alternately applies and removes battery voltage to the turn signal lamps and indicators.
