Cabin Air Filter / Purifier: Service and Repair

NOTE: The purposes of the air conditioner filter which is installed in between the blower unit and evaporator is to prevent the entrance of the polluted air from outside and to purify the internal air.

The air conditioner filter is a particle filter which strains out dirt.

Replace air conditioner filter every 20,000 Km. However, the duration of the replacement can very according to the condition of the environment. In case the outlet air to the passenger compartment reduces greatly, have your filter inspected.







1. After opening the grove box, pull it downward by pressing both sides of glove box inward.






2. Lower the glove box down after taking out the damper strap from the hole.






3. Disconnect the luggage compartment lamp connector.








4. After turning the lever of filter cover, remove the filter cover.






5. Remove the air conditioner upper filter by pulling it horizontally in ward as shown.
6. Remove the lower filter by pulling it horizontally Inward after lifting.
7. Reinstall all removed components in reverse order of the removal.
