AUTO DOOR LOCK/UNLOCK-USER OPTION FEATURE

DESCRIPTION:

The 2006 Azera is equipped with an auto door lock and unlock feature that can be programmed to the owner's preference using a Hi-Scan Pro diagnostic tool. Each function can be programmed independently to any of the following settings:

Auto Door Lock

1. Disabled

2. Shift Lever Linked (All doors will automatically lock when shift lever is placed in "D")

3. Speed Linked (All doors will automatically lock when the vehicle reaches 13 MPH).

Auto Door Unlock

1. Disabled

2. Shift Lever Linked (All doors will automatically unlock when the shift lever is placed in "P")

3. Ignition Key Linked (All doors will automatically unlock when the key is removed from the ignition).

NOTE:
Both the auto lock and unlock settings are disabled when the vehicle is produced.

PROCEDURE:

1. Connect the Hi-Scan Pro diagnostic tool to the vehicle's Data Link Connector (DLC) and turn the vehicle's ignition "ON".

2. Turn the Hi-Scan ON and press ENTER.





3. Select option "01. HYUNDAI VEHICLE DIAGNOSIS" and press ENTER.





4. Select option "08. AZERA" and press ENTER.





5. Select option "07. BODY CONTROL MODULE" and press ENTER.





6. Select option "06. USER OPTION" and press ENTER.





7. Select option "03. AUTO DOOR LOCK" and press ENTER.





8. This screen will provide you with the current Auto Lock and Auto Unlock status as well as provide the menu options.





9. To change the Auto Lock setting, use the (Up and Down) arrow keys to scroll to the desired setting and press ENTER. The CURRENT SET STATUS will change to reflect the selected setting.





10. To change the Auto Unlock setting, use the (Up and Down) arrow keys to scroll to the desired setting and press ENTER. The CURRENT SET STATUS will change to reflect the selected setting.

11. Press ESC to exit the AUTO DOOR LOCK menu.

12. Disconnect the Hi-Scan Pro diagnostic tool from the vehicle's Data Link Connector.

13. Confirm the new settings.
