Carpet: Service and Repair

CARPET REPLACEMENT

SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations precautions and procedures in the Restraint Systems before performing repairs or service.

NOTE:
- Put on gloves to protect you hands.
- Take care not to damage, wrinkle or twist the carpet.
- Be careful not to damage the dashboard or other interior trim pieces.

1. Remove the following items:
- Front seats, both sides.
- Console.
- Rear seat cushion.
- Front seat belt anchor bolt, both sides.
- Front door scuff trim.
- Rear door scuff trim.
- Center pillar lower trim panel.

2. Remove the footrest (A).






3. Remove the clips and fasteners, then remove the carpet. Put on gloves to protect your hands.






4. Installation is the reverse of removal.

NOTE:
- Take care not to damage, wrinkle or twist the carpet.
- Make sure the seat harness is routed correctly.
- Replace any damaged clips.
