SIDE DOOR GLASS ADJUSTMENTS
DESCRIPTION:
This bulletin provides procedures to adjust the side door glass on the Tiburon.
VEHICLES AFFECTED:
Model: TIBURON (GK) - All
Production Date Range: Start of Production (October 1, 2001) to Present.
SERVICE PROCEDURE:
1. Remove the tweeter speaker.
2. Remove the interior grab handle cover by prying with a small flat head screwdriver.
NOTE:
Be careful not to scratch the grab handle during removal.
3. Remove the door trim panel screw caps and screws.
4. Remove the interior door handle bezel and grab handle screws and remove the bezel (A).
5. Remove the interior door trim panel after disconnecting all related connectors.
6. Remove the power window switch from the interior door trim panel by disengaging the upper and lower clips.
7. Re-connect the power window switch to the door wire harness. This will allow you to roll the window up and down.
8. Carefully pull back the upper left and right corner white door plastic vapor barrier to gain access to the side glass stop nuts (B).
NOTE:
This is where the adjustments will be made.

10. Roll down the window a 1-2 millimeters and loosen the glass stop nuts from steps 8 and 9. Lower the position of the glass stop to allow sufficient clearance between the door glass and the drip rail molding. Tighten the glass stop nuts to the specified torque. Open and close the door to ensure proper clearance is achieved.
NOTE:
Lowering the glass too far will create a gap between the drip rail molding and the side glass window resulting in wind noise or water leaks.
11. If there is no interference, re-install all removed parts in reverse order of removal.
