Front Door Latch: Service and Repair

FRONT DOOR LATCH REPLACEMENT

1. Remove the door trim.
2. Remove the door trim seal.
3. Remove the inside handle.
4. Remove the channel.
5. Disconnect the lock rod (A), out side handle rod (B).






6. After disconnect the connector (A), loosen the mounting bolts. Remove the latch assembly (B).






7. Installation is the reverse of removal.

NOTE:
- Roll the glass up down to see if it move freely without binding.
- Make sure the door lock and opens properly.
- If the door trim seal is damaged, it must be replaced.
