Battery Diagnostic Flow
INSPECTIONBattery Diagnostic Flow:
BATTERY DIAGNOSTIC FLOW
LOAD TEST
1. Perform the following steps to complete the load test procedure for maintenance tree batteries.
2. Connect the load tester clamps to the terminals and proceed with the test as follows:
1. If the battery has been on charge, remove the surface charge by discharging the battery for 10 seconds at 200 ampere load.
2. Allow the battery to recover 15 seconds before doing the next load test.
3. Discharge the battery for 15 seconds at 300 ampere load and measure the battery terminal voltage with load.
4. Compare the voltage reading with the specification below and replace the battery if the measured voltage is below the specification in the voltage table.
NOTE:
- If the voltage is greater shown in the table, the battery is good.
- If the voltage is less than shown in the table, replace the battery.
