PARTS INFORMATION

TOOLS & MATERIALS REQUIRED:

^ Masking tape

^ Spring-loaded center punch

^ 5/8"(16 mm) High-speed hole cutter

^ Deburring tool

^ Zinc rich primer

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE:

1. Use masking tape to attach the paper drilling template in place.

NOTE:
Make sure that each edge of the paper template is precisely aligned with the trunk panel and each gap width is 3/16" (5 mm).

2. Carefully mark each hole center with a spring-loaded center punch.

NOTE:
Improperly marking the hole centers will result in spoiler misalignment.

3. Cover the inside of the trunk with a large sheet to catch drilling debris.

4. Using the correct size high-speed hole cutter, cut each hole to the specified diameter of 5/8 (16 mm).

5. Clean all burrs from the drilled holes using a deburring tool.

6. Test fit the spoiler into the holes. Do not press down on the spoiler to lock it in place at this time.

NOTE:
If necessary, adjust the holes slightly for proper fit. Be careful not to oversize the holes.

7. Apply a zinc rich primer to the edges of the drilled holes to prevent corrosion. Allow a sufficient amount of time for the primer to dry.

8. After the primer has dried completely, peel off the adhesive liner from the spoiler.

9. Position the spoiler on the trunk panel, ensuring that the spoiler is centered.

10. Attach the spoiler to the trunk panel by firmly pressing down on it to lock it in place.

11. Carefully clean off all metal debris from the trunk area and from the external rear area of the vehicle.
