NEW REPLACEMENT WIRING HARNESSES FOR TIBURON (GK) AND SANTA FE (CM) WIRING REPAIR
DESCRIPTION:
This bulletin provides information on replacement wiring harnesses for Tiburon (All) and Santa Fe (2007) built in Korea. Replacement wiring harnesses for fully equipped vehicles only will be supplied as service parts. Extra connectors (that are unnecessary for vehicles without some options) must be taped as described in the instructions below.
EFFECTIVE VEHICLE INFORMATION:
^ Affected model: Tiburon (All) and Santa Fe (Korea-Built, VIN starting with KM-, 2007)
PARTS INFORMATION:
For detailed information on replacement wiring harnesses for Tiburon (GK) and Santa Fe (CM) models built in Korea, refer to the charts shown in this bulletin. The following table is an example that shows the new part number for a GK replacement front door wiring harness and the extra connector identification numbers that must be taped before replacing the original harness.
EXAMPLE:
If a GK front door wiring harness 91600-2C000 is ordered, the new replacement part 91600-2C040 (for full options) is supplied and the No. 1 extra connectors (marked by x's in the above table) must be taped before replacing the original harness.
NOTE:
The wiring connectors are labeled, No. 1, No. 2, ..., No. 10.
SERVICE PROCEDURE:
^ Wiring connector labels.
Cautions during wiring repair
^ DO NOT cut wiring to remove extra connectors to prevent possible short circuits. Use Tape! No Cutting!
^ Wrap extra wires and connectors with tape more than 3~4 times.
^ Types of connectors and how tape should hold connectors.
