DESCRIPTION:

Some 2009 Genesis Sedan (BH) 4.6L vehicles may experience a malfunction indicator lamp illumination for DTC P0456 (Evaporative Emission System - Very Small Leak Detected).

NOTE:
There are no vehicle performance issues associated with this condition.

APPLICABLE VEHICLES:
^ Model: 2009 Genesis Sedan (BH) 4.6L vehicles

^ Applicable vehicle production date range: From July 18, 2008 to September 24, 2008

NOTE:
To verify the vehicle is affected, be sure to check the version of the vehicle's engine control unit ROM ID with reference to the ROM ID Information Table mentioned below before attempting to update the control unit software.





ROM ID INFORMATION TABLE

After the ECM has been updated, clear any DTC(s) from the Adaptive Front Lighting System (AFLS) and other control units which communicate with each other via the CAN-bus, such as the TCM, ESC, TPMS and EPS.
