Evaporative Emission Control Canister: Service and Repair

Removal

1. Remove the fuel tank .
2. Disconnect the fuel tank pressure sensor connector (A).




3. Disconnect the vapor hoses (B,C) from the canister.
4. Disconnect the vapor tube quick-connector (D) from the canister.
5. Remove the canister band (E), and then remove the canister from the fuel tank.

Inspection

1. Check for the following items visually.
A. Cracks or leakage of the canister
B. Loose connection, distortion, or damage of the vapor hose/tube






Installation

Installation is reverse of removal.
