Adaptive Front Lighting System
B1907 Front sensor signal fault - W/Harness Inspection
W/Harness Inspection
1. Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness and terminals. Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.
2. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.
3. Has a problem been found?
Signal Circuit Inspection
Check Short to battery
1. Ignition "OFF"
2. Disconnect Front height sensor connector.
3. Ignition "ON"
4. Measure the voltage between Front height sensor's signal wiring of wiring harness side and chassis ground.
Specification : below 5 V
5. Is "voltage" display near the specified value?
Check short between power circuit and signal circuit
1. Ignition "OFF"
2. Disconnect Front height sensor connector and ECU connector.
3. Measure the resistance between Front height sensor's signal wiring of wiring harness side and Power terminal.
Specification : Discontinuity (Infinite Ohms)
4. Is the measured resistance within specification?
Ground circuit Inspection
Check open in ground circuit
1. Ignition "OFF"
2. Disconnect Front height sensor connector and ECU connector.
3. Measure the resistance between Front height sensor's ground wiring of wiring harness side and chassis ground.
Specification : below 1 Ohms
4. Is the measured resistance within specification?
