Terminal and Connector inspection
1. Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness and terminals. Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.
2. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.
3. Has a problem been found?
CAN Circuit Inspection
Check short to ground (power) in CAN BUS
1. IG "OFF" and disconnect all unit connector connected to C CAN.
2. IG "ON".
3. Check resistance between C CAN-LOW, HIGH terminal of DLC connector and chassis ground.
4. Check voltage between C CAN-LOW, HIGH terminal of DLC connector and chassis ground.
Specification : Infinite
5. Is the measured resistance or voltage within specification?
Check CAN BUS resistance
1. IG "OFF".
2. Measure the resistance between C CAN-HIGH and C CAN-LOW terminals of DLC harness connector.
Specification : Approx. 60 ± 3 Ohms
3. Is the measured resistance within specification?
