Terminal and Connector Inspection

1. Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness(es) and terminal condition. Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.
2. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.
3. Has a problem been found?






Power Circuit Inspection

Check for short to battery
1. IG OFF.
2. Disconnect Front, Rear initiator connector and TPMS ECU connector.
3. IG ON.
4. Measure voltage between Front, Rear initiator's power terminal of TPMS ECU harness connector and chassis ground.

Specification : Specification : Approx. 0 V




5. Is the measured value within specifications?





Check for open in the harness
1. IG OFF.
2. Disconnect Front, Rear initiator connector and TPMS ECU connector.
3. Measure resistance between power terminal of the Front, Rear initiator harness connector and initiator's power terminal of TPMS ECU harness connector.

Specification : Below approx. 1 Ohms




4. Is the measured value within specification?
