P0713 Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor 'A' Circuit High Input - W/Harness Inspection

Terminal & Connector Inspection

1. Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness and terminals. Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.
2. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.
3. Has a problem been found?






Signal Circuit Inspection

1. IG KEY "OFF"
2. Disconnect solenoid valve connector.
3. IG KEY "ON" & Engine "OFF"
4. Check voltage between signal terminal of ATF harness connector and chassis ground.

Specification : 5 V




5. Is the measured voltage within specification?






Ground Circuit Inspection

1. IG KEY "OFF"
2. Disconnect solenoid valve connector.
3. IG KEY "ON" & Engine "OFF"
4. Check voltage between ATF temperature sensor signal terminal of solenoid valve harness connector and chassis ground.(Measurement 1)
5. Check voltage between ATF temperature signal terminal and ground terminal of solenoid valve harness connector.(Measurement 2)

Specification : Measurement 1 - Measurement 2 = below 200 mV
