P1688 Immobilizer Lock - General Information

General Description

Immobilizer system performs mutual authentication among Key, SMK, HCU and Engine ECU. With this authentication, Immobilizer system allows to start Main Motor and Engine running.

DTC Description

The HCU sets DTC P1688, even though the authentication between HCU and ECU has completed, when authentication is failed between ECU and SMK.
