C1643 CAN Time-out Yaw Rate & Lateral G Sensor - W/Harness Inspection
Terminal and Connector Inspection
1. Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness and terminals. Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.
2. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.
3. Has a problem been found?
Power Circuit Inspection
Open or Short Check
1. IG "OFF".
2. Disconnect the YAW Sensor connector.
3. IG "ON".
4. Measure voltage between power supply terminal of the YAW Sensor harness connector and chassis ground.
Specification : Approx. B+
5. Is the measured value within specifications?
Ground Circuit inspection
Open or Short Check
1. IG "OFF".
2. Disconnect the YAW Sensor connector.
3. Measure resistance between ground terminal of the YAW Sensor harness connector and chassis ground.
Specification : Approx. below 1 Ohms
4. Is the measured resistance within specifications?
Signal circuit inspection
Open Check
1. IG "OFF".
2. Disconnect the HECU harness connector and YAW Sensor harness connector.
3. Measure resistance between CAN HIGH (LOW) terminal of the HECU harness connector and CAN HIGH (LOW) terminal of the YAW Sensor harness connector.
Specification : Approx. below 1 Ohms
4. Is the measured resistance within specifications?
