P0191 Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Range/Performance - W/Harness Inspection

Power Circuit Inspection

1. IG OFF.
2. Disconnect the Fuel Pressure Sensor (FPS) connector.
3. IG ON.
4. Measure the voltage between the power terminal of the FPS harness connector and chassis ground.

Specification : Approx. 5 V








5. Is the measured voltage within specifications?






Signal Circuit Inspection

1. IG OFF.
2. Connect a probe to signal terminal of FUEL RAIL SENSOR.
3. Engine ON.
4. Measure the voltage between signal terminal of FPS connector and chassis ground.

Specification : 1 V±5%








5. Is the measured voltage within specifications?






Terminal and Connector Inspection

1. Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness(es) and terminals. Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.
2. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.
3. Has a problem been found?
