W/Harness Inspection

Adaptive Front Lighting System
B1905 Sensor Power Supply Fault - Inspection/Repair:_:W/Harness Inspection

W/Harness Inspection

1. Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness and terminals. Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.
2. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration,or damage.
3. Has a problem been found?

Power Circuit Inspection

Check voltage power circuit
1. Ignition "OFF"
2. Disconnect front height sensor connector and rear height sensor connector.
3. Ignition "ON"
4. Measure the voltage between front height sensor's power circuit of connector side and chassis ground.
Measure the voltage between rear height sensor's power circuit of connector side and chassis ground.

Specification :below 5V

5. Is "voltage" display near the specified value?

Check Short to battery
1. Ignition "OFF".
2. Disconnect front height sensor connector and rear height sensor connector and AFLS ECU connector.
3. Ignition "ON"
4. Measure the voltage between front height sensor's power circuit of connector side and chassis ground.
Measure the voltage between rear height sensor's power circuit of connector side and chassis ground.

Specification :below 0V

5. Is "voltage" display near the specified value?

Check Short to Ground
1. Ignition "OFF"
2. Disconnect front height sensor connector and rear height sensor connector and AFLS ECU connector.
3. Measure the resistance between front height sensor's power circuit of connector side and chassis ground.
Measure the resistance between rear height sensor's power circuit of connector side and chassis ground.

Specification :Discontinuity ( Infinite Ohms )

4. Is the measured resistance within specification ?
