Rear Upper Arm





Replacement

Replacement the front upper arm
1. Remove the rear wheel & tire.

Tightening torque :
88.3 - 107.9N.m (9.0 - 11.0kgf.m, 65.1 - 79.6lb-ft)

2. Disconnect the rear front upper arm (A) from the rear axle by loosening the bolt & nut.

Tightening torque :
117.7 - 137.3N.m (12.0 - 14.0kgf.m, 86.8 - 101.3lb-ft)




3. Disconnect the rear front upper arm (A) from the rear sub frame by loosening the bolt & nut.

Tightening torque :
117.7 - 137.3N.m (12.0 - 14.0kgf.m, 86.8 - 101.3lb-ft)




4. Installation is the reverse of removal.

Replacement the rear upper arm
1. Remove the rear wheel & tire.

Tightening torque :
88.3 - 107.9N.m (9.0 - 11.0kgf.m, 65.1 - 79.6lb-ft)

2. Disconnect the rear upper arm (B) from the rear axle by loosening the split pin & nut (A).

Tightening torque :
78.5 - 88.3N.m (8.0 - 9.0kgf.m, 57.9 - 65.1lb-ft)




3. Disconnect the rear upper arm from the rear carrier using a SST (09568-2J100).




4. Disconnect the rear front upper arm (A) from the rear sub frame by loosening the flange bolt & lock nut.

Tightening torque :
117.7 - 137.3N.m (12.0 - 14.0kgf.m, 86.8 - 101.3lb-ft)




5. Installation is the reverse of removal.

CAUTION:
Do not use the lock nuts again.

Inspection

1. Check the bushing for wear and deterioration.
2. Check the ball joint for rotating torque.
