W/Harness Inspection

AFLS(LED)
B1308 Lamp Function Signal Fault - Inspection/Repair:_:W/Harness Inspection

W/Harness Inspection

1. Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness and terminals. Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.
2. Thoroughly check all connectors (and connections) for looseness, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, and/or damage.
3. Has a problem been found?

CAN Communication line check

CAN communication circuit inspection (AFLS <-> Cluster)
1. Ignition "OFF"
2. Disconnect AFLS connector and Cluster connector.
3. Measure the resistance between the CAN High terminal connected to the AFLS connector and the CAN High terminal connected to the Cluster connector.
4. Measure the resistance between the CAN Low terminal connected to the AFLS connector and the CAN Low terminal connected to the Cluster connector.

Specification :Approx below 1Ohms

5. Is the measured resistance within specification ?

CAN communication circuit inspection (AFLS <-> Cluster)
1. IG KEY OFF.
2. Measure resistance between CAN high terminal (# 3) of diagnostic connector and chassis ground.
3. Measure resistance between CAN low terminal (# 11) of diagnostic connector and chassis ground.

4. Is the measured resistance within specification ?

CAN communication circuit inspection (AFLS <-> Cluster)
1. IG key "OFF".
2. Remove the connectors of AFLS and Cluster.
3. Measure the resistance between the terminal #3 and #11 of the Data Link Connector.

Specification :Approx. 60 Ohms

4. Is the measured resistance within specification ?
