P0564 Cruise Control Multi-Function Input A Circuit - General Information
Component Location
General Description
The cruise control system keeps the vehicle running at a fixed speed until a signal canceling this fixed speed is received. When the ECM receives a signal from the CC (Cruise Control) control switch, the ECM controls the Electronic Throttle Control (ETC) motor to hold the vehicle at the current speed. The same circuit between the switches and the ECM is used for all switch functions. When a switch is pressed, the voltage changes on the signal wire. While the system is operating, the "CRUISE" indicator lamp in the instrument cluster lights up.
DTC Description
ECM monitors switch signal voltage. If switch signal voltage is not within the calibrated ranges, the ECM sets a P0564 DTC.
