B1322 WCS(Weight Classification System) ECU Defect - Inspection/Repair:_:Component Inspection

Component Inspection

1. Ignition "ON" & Engine "OFF" and Using a scan tool, clear the DTC.
2. Ignition "OFF".
3. Disconnect the battery (-) terminal cable from the battery, and wait at least one minute.
4. Disconnect WCS sensor connector.
5. Substitute the WCS sensor or WCS Module and check for proper operation. (COMMENT: WHY ARE THERE TWO SUBSTITUTION OF WCS SENSOR/MODULE. ONE IN STEP #5 AND ONE ARE NOTED BELOW?)
6. Is DTC present problem ?






WCS Reset

1. Ignition "OFF", connect scantool.
2. Ignition "ON"& Engine "OFF", select Weight Classification System and select "WCS Reset" mode.
3. You will see comments and current weight measured.
4. Make sure the measure weight is not caused by occupant, tools or interference.
5. Press "ENTER"

















Specification :Approx. - 4.0 kg ~ + 4.0 kg

6. The 'WCS Reset' operation will take 3 - 10 second.
7. Make sure that there are no no vibration or weight adding to the passenger front seat during the reset operation.












8. If the 'WCS Reset' operation is finished successfully, you will see the following screen.
